Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, July 21, at 1:30pm. This month’s author is Joanne Fluke. Read anything by Ms. Fluke then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend!

The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, July 18, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00- D.Gray-Man #1- 2; 1:00- Suzuka (sub-titled); 1:30- Jyu-Oh-Sei # 4 (sub-titled); 2:00- Inuyasha # 38-40; 3:00- Negma!? Series 2 # 1- 2. Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.

This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, July 25. Our feature this month is “Coraline” (rated PG). Free family fun!

TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, June 6, 12:30pm, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. The group also offers Shakespeare Made Simple! on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10am and Shakespeare Reader’s Theatre on Tuesdays, 4-6pm. Free, for all ages.

It’s time again for the SUMMER READING CLUB! This year’s theme is “Be Creative @ the Library!” and it all starts on Tuesday, June 16 with storyteller Glenda Bonin: “Just Imagine! – Stories for the Fun of It!” All ages should attend this special presentation at 10am. This month we will host Raymond Visconti as he presents Dream Interpretation Workshops on Wednesdays in April @ 5pm. Mr. Visconti holds a MA in Psychology and has spent 20 years in the Human Resources field and in researching and teaching dream psychology. A number of topics will be covered. Free to everyone!

ART @ THE LIBRARY


March is Youth Art Month at the Pahrump Community Library! We will be displaying art work by local artists, age 18 and younger. If you would like your work displayed, please bring it to the library after Feb. 23. Work must be clearly labeled: artist's name, age and title of work on the front; telephone on back or bottom. All types of art accepted: drawings, paintings, crayon, sculpture, etc. Depending upon the number of items received, displayed works may rotate. Library staff will make every effort to secure the items but cannot be held responsible for damage or theft. You will be able to pick up your work after March 31 and work not claimed by April 15 will be discarded. Questions? Call (775) 727-5930, ext. 17.
