Events Calendar for September, 2009

Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Wednesdays at 1pm. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone).

Tumbleweed Tales Society meets 1st Saturdays of each month, 10a.m.-noon. Next roundtable will be held Sept 5. Bring original work or a favorite author to share. Open to all ages! For more info, email

Shakespeare at the Library! Read, discuss, enjoy Shakespeare every 3rd Saturday of the month, 9:30-11:30 a.m. The current reading is "Merchant of Venice." Next gathering: Sept. 19. Also, enjoy Shakespeare Reader’s Theatre every Tuesday, 4-5:30 p.m. Our current reading is "Much Ado About Nothing." For more info, email

Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 1:30pm. This month’s author is Ann B. Ross. Read any of the “Miss Julia” series, then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend! For more information, call the library.

Bring your new or gently used costumes to the library for our HALLOWEEN COSTUME DRIVE! All sizes welcome. Costumes accepted Sept. 16-Oct. 16 and will be distributed in October during our annual “Can-for-a-Costume” event!

The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, Sept. 19, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00 - Inuyasha # 43 - 45 (English); 1:00 - Jyu-Oh-Sei # 6 (Sub- Titled); 1:30 - Negma!? Series 2 # 4 (English); 2:00 - Sasami Magical Girls Club # 3-4 (English); 3:00- Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple # 1-2 (English). Be sure to bring your raffle tickets! Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
