Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Introduction to Computing,” “Beyond Basics,” “Internet & Email,” and “Genealogy”—check in the library for dates & times.
TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, March 1, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome!
Family Craft will be held Saturday, March 8. Bring the kids and enjoy some fun time together!
10-11am @ the library. This month we’ll make a free, fun Leprechaun Magnet! Join Miss Brenda for holiday fun!
Join us for a fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, March 20! We’ll make a handy Birthday Calendar, a simple, fun & useful craft! The class is free and all materials will be provided! Please sign up in the library by March 18 (no sign-ups by phone). Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.
The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, March 15, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00- Wolf’s Rain #25- 26 (English), 1:00- Baki the Grappler # 1(Sub-Titled), 1:30- The Galaxy Railways # 1 (English), 2:00- Mr. Stain on Junk Alley# 1 (Sub-titled), 2:30- Yu Yu Hakusho #13 -14 (English), 3:30- Tsubasa # 1 (English). Also this month we are featuring Cosplaying. There will also be an Inuyasha TCG Tournament so be sure to bring your cards! There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
WINTER READING PROGRAM continues Tuesdays & Wednesdays, beginning Feb. 5, 2008. This year’s theme is “Read with Clifford, the Big Red Dog!” No sign-up necessary. Classes are available for all ages.
The library’s 6th Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, March 22, 10am. Hunt in the kids’ library for colorful paper eggs then get a treat!
This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, March 22. TBA. Free family fun!
Special Event! March 29, 9am, in the library: AUTHOR EXTRAVAGANZA! Local authors will be available for you to “meet, greet, buy & sign” their published works! Authors include: Jill Po, Jo Wilkins, Richard Draude, Kat Jaske, Matt O'Brien, Merle Savage, Mike Broderick, H.Lee Barnes, B.J. Harper, Christy Leskovar, George Knapp, Herb Jaffe, Kevin Janison, Rick Ainsworth, Heart Suapre, Geoff Schumacher, Robert Pilkington, Ben Malisow, Buzz Sodeman, and Vivian Lee.
