This month the library will have a Foster Family Clothing Drive, to collect necessary items for local foster families. Please bring your new or gently-used items to the library during April. All items will be used by local agencies.

This class will encompass the use of the mouse and keyboard. It will also cover the basic elements of the desktop and how to maneuver and do a simple search. *This is a required pre-requisite course.
BEYOND BASICS*
Feb. 4, 11, 25, Mar. 3, 10, 17, 24
This class will encompass a review of the use of the mouse and the keyboard functions; how to place and identify your cursor, drag and drop, cut and paste, and other basic skills. It also will cover the basic elements of the screen and how to maneuver from window to window and do a search. A mousing diploma will be issued to students who successfully complete that portion of the class. Students who do not already have an existing email will be assisted in obtaining an email address with Google. *This is a required pre-requisite course.
* Basic Computer & Beyond Basics are PRE-REQUISITE CLASSES. You must attend at least one of these classes to be eligible for any other computer classes. A Certificate of Completion will be issued to each student.

The Library SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE starts Aug. 1. We will be accepting your donations of new school supplies through the month of August. All the supplies received will be distributed to local schools. Help us help the kids here in Pahrump!

The Library is hosting an Author Workshop, in conjunction with the Las Vegas Valley Witers Group and Keith Bettinger. Come to the library on Saturday, Aug. 11, 10am-3pm, to learn everything you need to know to write, edit and publish your own book!

TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, July 7, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome!
YAA-HOOS! In June we had a lot of fun with CLUE! This month come by on July 11 and we’ll play fast-paced CATCH PHRASE! Yaa-Hoos is a group for ladies of all ages who would just like a little time to themselves! Come to the library for fun, who knows what we might be doing?! And free, too! 2nd Wednesdays of each month, 11am-1pm.

The theme for this summer’s program is “Get a Clue @Your Library!” Sign up at the library prior to start of classes. Classes are available for all ages: Nosy Noses (age 4-5) Tuesdays, 9-10am; Super Sleuth (age 6-10) Tuesdays, 10:30-11:45am OR Wednesdays 1-2:15pm (pick one day only); CSI Detectives (5th grade & up) Wednesdays 2:30-3:30pm.
We’re hosting a BOOK FAIR! The Scholastic Book Fair Beach will be open for all your kids’ summer reading needs! July 12 thru 25, @ the library. Something for everyone!
