Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Basic Computer,” “Beyond Basics,” “Advanced Basics,” “Resumes,” and “Genealogy”— check at the library for dates & times. TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, Sept. 6, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome! And now the group offers 2 new classes: Shakespeare Made Simple! Held the 3rd Saturday of each month, 10am-12n. This casual workshop will explore plays, words, character, & history—just for fun! And Tuesdays, 4-6pm, enjoy Shakespeare Readers’ Theatre! Both are free and open to all ages.
Our FAVORITE AUTHORS BOOK CLUB will meet Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 1:30pm. This month’s book is “Where the Heart Is” by Billie Letts. Read the book then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend!
The PAHRUMP ANIME CLUB will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, Sept. 20, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00-Gunparade March # 7-8 ( Sub-Titled); 1:00-Inuyasha # 8-10 (English); 2:00-Ragnarok # 3 (English); 2:30-Devil May Cry # 6 (Sub-Titled); 3:00- TBA (English). This month we are featuring a Collage Contest. There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Also, don’t forget to bring your Raffle Tickets! Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
This month’s MOVIE DAY will be Saturday, Sept. 27. Our feature this month is “Speed Racer” (rated PG). Free family big-screen fun!
