Calling all artists 0-18 years old! Our annual Youth Art Month commences in March and we want to display your art. Bring your work, any medium, to the library beginning through March and we’ll display it for you. Art will be on display through April. ART @ THE LIBRARY

March is Youth Art Month at the Pahrump Community Library! We will be displaying art work by local artists, age 18 and younger. If you would like your work displayed, please bring it to the library after Feb. 23. Work must be clearly labeled: artist's name, age and title of work on the front; telephone on back or bottom. All types of art accepted: drawings, paintings, crayon, sculpture, etc. Depending upon the number of items received, displayed works may rotate. Library staff will make every effort to secure the items but cannot be held responsible for damage or theft. The Library is sponsoring a Non-Perishable Food Drive, November 3-26. All proceeds will be distributed to local food banks and shelters. Bring new boxed and canned goods and help feed our community!

It’s time again for the PCL WINTER READING PROGRAM! October 15 thru December 17. This year’s theme: “Dino-Tails Reading!” Sign up now; free classes available for all ages. Tiny Dino’s (age 2 & 3; parent/guardian must accompany child) Wednesdays, 9:15-9:45am; T-Rex Tails (age 4-5) Wednesdays, 10-10:45am; Story-Osauraus (age 6-12) Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30pm; and Teens (5th grade & up) Thursdays, 3-4pm. Join us for a free, fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, November 20! We’ll make fun, seasonal Pilgrim Picture Holders. Free, fun & easy—and just in time for fall decorating! Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.

The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, November 15, 12-4pm. Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. YAA-HOOS! In March we learned the popular game Bunco! This month come by on Apr. 11 and we’ll play some fast-paced UNO! Yaa-Hoos is a group for ladies of all ages who would just like a little time to themselves! Come to the library for fun, who knows what we might be doing?! And free, too! 2nd Wednesdays of each month, 11am-1pm.

SPECIAL EVENT!! The Friends of the Library is holding a huge book sale! Apr. 13-14, @ the library.

A Non-Fiction Book Sale will be held @ the library, Mar. 5 thru 7. Our surplus is your gain and lots of titles and subjects will be available, with nothing priced over $1.00! Who knows what you may find?
