Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Wednesdays at 1pm. The GENEALOGY CLASS meets every Tuesday at 2pm. Genealogy guidance & help using Ancestry.com and HeritageQuest.com are provided. No sign-up is necessary. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone).
Tumbleweed Tales Society poetry group meets the 1st Saturday of each month, 10a.m.-noon. Next roundtable will be held January 2. Bring original work or a favorite author to share. Open to all ages! For more info, email tumbleweedtales@yahoo.com.
Our newest group is in full swing: TCG (Trading Card Game) DUEL! Kids 11+ come on Saturdays, 12-4:30, and meet others who love games such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and Yu-Gi-Oh!
Help warm the valley this winter! Drop off your new or gently used coats, sweaters, gloves, hats, etc. @ the library between January 4 & 16 for our annual OUTERWEAR DRIVE! All items will be donated to local agencies for distribution.

Shakespeare at Library! Read, discuss, enjoy Shakespeare every 3rd Saturday of the month, 9:30-11:30 a.m. The current reading is "Henry IV, Part 1." Next gathering: January 16. It’s time again for the WINTER READING PROGRAM! This year’s theme is “Catch a Good Book!” and it will start on Wednesday, February 3, and run through Wednesday, April 7. Classes are: Ages 2-3 on Wednesdays @9:15-9:45am (parent of guardian must accompany child); Ages 4-5 on Wednesdays @ 10-10:45am; Ages 6-12 on Wednesdays @ 3:30-4:30pm; and Teens on Thursdays @ 3-4pm (no session on 11/26). Free Fall fun @ the library! Teen Zone also continues, meeting on January 9 & 16 @ 2pm.
For all who like to knit and/or crochet, the KNIT WITS meet every Wednesday, 1pm @ the library. (No meeting January 6.) Free and fun, bring your current project and come join others who love yarn crafting!
Join us for a fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, January 21 @ 1:00pm! Join us this month to learn about making our own Natural Beauty Products! All materials provided, $2 fee per person. Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.
The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, January 16, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00- Inuyasha # 55 – 57; 1:00- Save Me! Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, January 19, at 12:00pm. This month read any biography, by any author. Then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend! For more information, call the library.
This month’s Free Movie Day will be Saturday, January 23, 2pm. Our feature title will be “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” (rated PG). Free family fun!
