Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Basic Computer,” “Beyond Basics,” “Advanced Basics,” “Internet Experience” and “Genealogy”— check at the library for dates & times. Sign up in the library; no sign-ups by phone.
TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, May 2, 12:30pm, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome! The group also offers Shakespeare Made Simple! on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10am and Shakespeare Reader’s Theatre on Tuesdays, 4-6pm. Free, for all ages.
Yoga for Kids! will be offered by instructor Linda Sampson (Cmt, CYT) Saturdays @ 11am. Kids can learn the relaxing benefits of yoga! Free, for ages 4-9.
Family Craft will be held Saturday, May 9. 10-11am @ the library. This month come make a special treat for Mom! Free fun for all ages. Last Family Craft Day until October!
The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, May 16, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00 - GhostHunt # 6; 12:30 - Jyu-Oh-Sei # 2 (Sub-Titled); 1:00 - SHUFFLE! # 3; 1:30 - School Rumble # 1; 2:00 - Inuyasha # 32-34; 3:00- Ranma; 3:30- Suzuka # . The Event for this month is “Tell us who your favorite character is and why?” There will be prizes so be sure to enter! Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, May 19, at 12pm. This month’s author is Anne Rivers Siddons. Read anything by this author, then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend! For more information, call the library.
Join us for a free, fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, May 21 @ 1:00pm! Join us this month as we make our own jewelry! Supplies will be provided. Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.
This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, May 23, 2pm. Feature title: “Hotel for Dogs” Rated PG. Free family fun!
On May 26, we’ll start our Father’s Day Raffle for a great Gift Basket! Get your tickets, 25¢ each or 5/$1. Drawing will be held on June 19; need not be present to win.
