Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Basic Computer,” “Beyond Basics,” “Advanced Basics,” and “Genealogy”— check at the library for dates & times. TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, June 3, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome! And now the group offers a new class: Shakespeare Made Simple! Held Tuesdays, 4-6pm, this will be a Readers’ Theatre presentation of Shakespeare’s plays. Free, for all ages.
It’s time again for the PCL SUMMER READING PROGRAM! June 10-July 16. This year’s theme: “Catch the Reading Bug!” Sign up now; free classes available for all ages. Flutter Buzzers (age 4-5) Tuesdays, 9-10am; Creepy Crawly Critters (age 6-11) Tuesdays, 10:20-11:45am OR Wednesdays 1-2:15pm (attend one session only); The Good & (B)Ugly Bugs (5th grade & up) Wednesdays, 2:30-3:30pm. Raffle tickets for a great Father’s Day Bucket will be sold @ the library, beginning May16. Raffle drawing will be held June 13! All proceeds to benefit the library.
Family Craft will be held Saturday, June14. Bring the kids and enjoy some fun time together! 10-11am @ the library. This month we’ll make a free, fun Father’s Day Hanging Decoration craft! Join Miss Brenda for seasonal fun!
Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, June 17, at 1:30pm. This month’s author is Dolores Johnson. Read anything by Ms. Johnson then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend!
Join us for a free, fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, June 19! We’ll learn great tips and practical advice for Green Cleaning! Come learn to be Earth-friendly! Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.
The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, June 21, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00- Gunparade March # 1-2 ( Sub-Titled), 1:00- Tsubasa # 5 (English), 1:30Devil May Cry # 2 (Sub-Titled), 2:00- Mushi-Shi # 3 (English), 2:30- Shuffle! # 1 (English), 3:00- Zegapain # 11 (English), 3:30- Emma: A Vistorian Romance # 1 (English). Also this month we are featuring Cosplaying. There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, June 28. Our feature this month is “The Spiderwick Chronicles” (rated PG). Free family fun!
