Free computer instruction is available @ the library! COMPUTER CLASSES for beginning-level computer users are offered Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Sign-ups available at the library (no sign-ups by phone). Currently offering “Basic Computer,” “Beyond Basics,” “Advanced Basics,” “Resumés,” and “Genealogy”— check at the library for dates & times. Sign up in the library; no sign-ups by phone.
TUMBLEWEED TALES POETRY GROUP will meet here Saturday, December 6, at 10am, and every 1st Saturday! Join us at the library to share, listen, and enjoy poetry. Original poetry encouraged, or just read an old favorite! All ages welcome! The group also offers Shakespeare Made Simple! on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 10am and Shakespeare Reader’s Theatre on Tuesdays, 4-6pm. Free, for all ages.
Family Craft will be held December 13. Bring the kids and enjoy some fun time together! 10-11am @ the library. This month we’ll make a free, fun Snowman Photo Frame—just in time for the holidays! Join Miss Brenda for seasonal fun!
It’s time again for the PCL WINTER READING PROGRAM! October 15 thru December 17. This year’s theme: “Dino-Tails Reading!” Sign up now; free classes available for all ages. Tiny Dino’s (age 2 & 3; parent/guardian must accompany child) Wednesdays, 9:15-9:45am; T-Rex Tails (age 4-5) Wednesdays, 10-10:45am; Story-Osauraus (age 6-12) Wednesdays, 3:30-4:30pm; and Teens (5th grade & up) Thursdays, 3-4pm. Our Favorite Authors Bookclub will meet Tuesday, December 16, at 1:30pm. This month’s author is Sophie Kinsella. Read any books in Ms. Kinsella’s “Shopaholic” series, then come enjoy a lively discussion! New members always welcome, so bring a friend!
Join us for a free, fun Adult Workshop on Thursday, December 18! We’ll make super easy Cookies-in-a-Jar Gifts. Free, fun & easy—and just in time for holiday giving! Adults only; kids 14 & up welcome with an adult.
The Pahrump Anime Club will hold its regular meeting at the library Saturday, December 20, 12-4pm. Showings this month will be: 12:00 - Spirited Away Movie (English), 2:00 - Inuyasha # 20- 22 (English), 3:00 - Devil May Cry # 8 (Sub-Titled), 3:30 - Ragnarok # 6 (English). Also this month we are featuring an Art Contest. There will be prizes so be sure to enter. Remember to bring your raffle tickets! Absolutely no unaccompanied children under the age of 10.
This month’s Movie Day will be Saturday, December 27. Feature title: “Horton Hears a Who!” Rated G. Free family fun! Plus, join us this month for a Special Event: Kids’ New Year’s Party!!
